Most people focus on things other than entertainment at their celebration and they discover during the course of the party that the entertainment takes centre stage over things such as decorations, and food. The reason this occurs is entertainment has some emotional feelings attached because the activities created by the entertainer or a person making a speech are created to maximize the impact of a moment.
A great example of this is when a person selected to do a speech makes a routine of forgetting to take their speech to the lectern, At a wedding I was entertaining at the weekend such a moment to place, the decision that the couple did was to select a videographer to capture their special day, the speech routine mentioned above is now captured on film forever and will be a moment in history for the family to look back on in years to come, choosing who you get to do a speech is crucial to such a moment be the best it can be.
Another memorable point at the reception was "The Shoe Game" this was something I had direct involvement with and this was again captured on film. So as you can see having "Quality" entertainment and videography is a major advantage at your wedding.
I must credit the Videographer, Paul Demunk for "Vision By Demunk" http://www.visionbydemunk.com/Home.html
Make your wedding memorable for years to come with memories made from moments.
What is your perception of a "Rustic" wedding?
I see a lot of couple getting caught up in the idealism of a rustic wedding but their perception changes when they find out what a real rustic wedding is.
A rustic wedding is one that is unsophisticated and is located in a country or rural setting, I've seen many people who like the idea of a "Rustic" wedding but only choose elements to give the impression that it's a rustic event.
Simply having your wedding in a lavish hotel with rustic trimmings really isn't a truly rustic wedding.
One particular venue in my market of Ballarat that I define as truly rustic is Donegan's Farm, located between Wallace and Gordon. Below is a link to their website.
Why I have posted this link is because it is a venue located on real farm setting because rustic actually means "From the country".
So when you choose to have a rustic wedding make sure you choose a location that suits the type of wedding you want, this means booking your venue early.
Just remember that rustic isn't white table clothes and chair covers, it's wooden furniture and simplicity also a little rough around the edges.
I hope this article will help you understand the true meaning of what it is to have a "Rustic" wedding.
Let's make this an easy question to answer.
On average I spend at least 20 hours preparing and entertaining at any function, sometimes I spend as much as 30 hours working towards achieving my client's entertainment requirements, this is a good reason that I charge a reasonable amount for my services.
The planning meetings I have with my clients can take me to plan and conduct the meeting as much as 3 hours per meeting, this is time spent away from my family, this is the time I need to charge for. The meetings are in most cases during the evening and on weekends.
When you make an inquiry from any type of service based business consider the time they spend before your event as well as the time spend at your event.
The best way to find out the best service providers for your event is to meet them before you book.
I hope this helps you make an informed decision for your next celebration.
